MI-MI
Gracie Baum
for Miley, my little sister, inspiration, and heart
If we had mere seconds left
I’d hold you one last time
squeeze you so tight it hurts
I’d pray for your precious soul
that the lord carry you home
while hoping you enjoyed all you could
took every risk you walked into
lived so freely others worried for you
I would search for you in whatever is to come after death
as sure as a threat I would find you again
for not having you in this life would have meant I never lived at all
